About Our Team Trip
I am responsible for the assignment of approximately 17 IT personnel and overseeing their tasks at MinA company, but of course, not everything is work-related. We, as teammates, enjoyed a lovely winter holiday with our boss. I would like to thank everyone involved in organizing and participating in the event.
Breakfast at Qusar
Qusar became our first stop for breakfast. Here, a close friend of our boss joined us and talked about the beauties of the Azerbaijani language. I found this conversation very pleasing because preserving people's culture always creates a positive feeling in me. Besides that, the breakfast we had was very nourishing, and we needed the energy before our trip.
In Qusar, another language is spoken. I forgot the name of this language, but it doesn't resemble Azerbaijani at all. It's a beautiful city near the foothills. A river runs through it, flowing only when the ice melts from the mountains. Otherwise, it's mostly dry. However, the view of the distant mountains when you turn your face to the right is stunning.
Climbing to Sahdag Summit
When you reach the foothills of Sahdag, there's a facility equipped with a cable car to transport you upwards. Typically, people ascend for skiing, but on that day, we ascended not for skiing but to reach the summit of the mountain and enjoy the scenery and fresh air. As we ascended via the cable car, we witnessed breathtaking views. Some transition points seemed quite intimidating, but observing them was very enjoyable.
At the summit of Sahdag, there's a beautiful ski resort. You can rent ski equipment there and start skiing from the top. Additionally, there's an establishment selling food and drinks. Watching the scenery from the terrace of this facility was fantastic. When we visited, there wasn't much natural snow, so there were few skiers, and they were able to ski thanks to artificial snow. As I write this, it has already snowed, and people must have had a lot of fun here, but for now, there's no snow. In my opinion, the ski slopes here are quite narrow. They're too tight for slalom skiing, but expert skiers and snowboarders can enjoy themselves here as they wish.
Park Qusar
We stayed overnight here and gathered with all team members to play a game called 'Mafia.' It's a card game where players, without knowing each other's roles, reveal the cards of suspected individuals to determine if they are good or bad. However, the twist is that bad players can see each other during the game. Therefore, it's relatively easy for the bad players to eliminate the good ones. Everyone needs to play attentively and think carefully when revealing the cards. This game made the night enjoyable, and we ended up playing until 3 in the morning because it was so much fun.
The next morning, after breakfast, we returned to Baku, and everyone went home to rest.
